It’s summer again and depending where you are, the sun may be shining.  Here in the UK the weather is pretty miserable but at least the gardens are looking green and people are out cutting their lawns. Speaking of which, my lawn is looking exceptionally good as I take the time out to write this post.  I’d been using the same old lawnmower for as long as I can remember.  I’m not going to make adverse comments about my old mower but it is a well known brand and It was particularly heavy, cumbersome and caused me extra work because it didn’t cut very well. I found this lawn mower exceptionally easy to use because it can be operated left, right, one or two handed, horizontally or vertically, meaning the mower can be steered and controlled from 8 different grip positions. The idea of course is to make mowing your lawn alot easier and pleasant to do. I particularly like being able to adjust the working height of the multi-position handle and it helped me to maintain the correct posture and reduce muscle strain while I was mowing. This lawnmower works for you, not the other way around.

With the rear roller you can get that stately home look in your own garden, giving you precise stripes all over your lawn. Also, the rear roller gives stability over lawn edges and prevents scalping.
What I haven’t mentioned yet is that this lawnmower is cordless and that means no tangled cable. But the most important thing is that without a cord, there’s no chance of cutting the cable whilst mowing. The Bosch Rotak 43 LI Ergoflex can be used anywhere away from a power source and, unlike petrol mowers, is free of smell and noise.  I managed to mow my lawn far quicker by not having to keep re-arranging the cable and I definitely felt alot safer knowing that there was no chance of accidently cutting a cable.

The Bosch Rotak 43 LI Ergoflex is powered by a 36 volt/2.6Ah lithium-ion battery which, according to the leaflet that came with the lawnmower says that:

  • Lithium-ion batteries retain their charge whilst stored (in cool, dry conditions), so the mower is ready to use–even if it hasn’t been used for a while.
  • The Lithium-ion battery is 50% lighter than conventional batteries–but with all the power.
  • Lithium-ion batteries retain their full charge capacity and can be re-charged up to 4 times more than standard batteries.
  • The Lithium-ion battery is fully charged in an hour and 80% charged in 30 minutes.
